Stand-Alone Extraction of Cyclostationary Broadband Components from Aeroacoustic Signals

Aeroacoustic signals, as typically returned by recordings of pressure fluctuations generated rotating machines, often exhibit a strong contribution broadband components. Separate analysis the various sources noise is important from an engineering point view, they relate to different physical mechanisms. It yet technically difficult achieve, corresponding signals overlap in both time and frequency. A solution proposed based on angle–time cyclostationary property produced sources. Cyclostationary components can thus be extracted, resynthesized domain, analyzed individually if were measured alone with all other interfering switched off. special effort made render methodology stand-alone possible providing criteria for automatically setting up leading parameters. The illustrated counter-rotating open rotor data, where contributions rear front rotors their interaction are extracted.
